I'm excited to share with you, that I've decided to support TECHO's cause and specifically women's rights. A cause that is very dear to me and of utmost importance, especially in these times where light is brought to the still very real and very important challenges women are facing every day.
TECHO is a youth-led non-profit organisation present in 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its mission is to overcome poverty in marginalised neighborhoods in which 104 million people live. It implements habitat solutions through the joint action of its inhabitants and young volunteers, and it supports women's empowerment - and I empower and encourage that, among many others.
In the marginalised neighborhoods women are the leaders, in fact:
- 3 in 4 community leaders that collaborate with TECHO are women (75.8%)
- 46% of them have an additional job.
- 76% of them take care of the next kid.
All of this means that 1 in 3 (34%) of these women work three full-time shifts per day.
Women are change-makers and leaders. They play a vital role in our society and are essential to eradicate poverty.
Let's support these women, and let's support TECHO - if you want to support like me, click on this link and make your contribution.
Lots of lots of love and light,
