Aspects

The as yet untitled work develops around aspects of personality. During the symposium with the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative, we crossed paths both in Egypt and Denmark and exchanged everything from Covid confinement to visions of individual artistic lives.

The work, which is still in process, is the result of both experiences and conversations with colleagues and my own experience in confinement. I saw different personality aspects flourishing and at times running amok as I tried to find hope wherever I could. My biggest impression from the art symposium with DEDI is to nurture lifelong projects. It seems the opposite of everything my own aspects encourage me to do, and then there are endless stories left to unpack in layers of the work.

So far I have touched on hieroglyphs that imprisoned me, the ragnarok prophecy, the urge to escape the noisy world and isolate myself, the growth I feel internally and around me, and the devotion (eyes) for visions.
